Sonic X Shadow Generations brings back tough Sonic Generations Xbox achievement

We've picked up the Sonic X Shadow Generations Xbox achievements, which include a damage-dodging Generations achievement that led to many headaches on Xbox 360.

Players planning to speed through the Sonic X Shadows Generations achievements later this week best prepare for a fight, as Sega has brought back the headache-inducing Can't Touch This achievement for beating the final boss without taking any damage — and added a new one for Shadow! Sonic X Shadows Generations launches on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One on October 25, offering up a brand-new story campaign featuring Shadow, as well as a full remaster of Sonic's adventures in Sonic Generations. According to the game's description, Shadow's campaign will see you mastering "never-before-seen powers and abilities" as you attempt to thwart Black Doom's plans to take over the world. As for the Sonic Generations remaster, you'll embark on a time-traveling adventure, teeming up with a younger Sonic to save their friends, defeat countless enemies, and find out who is behind the time holes that are appearing. The 2D and 3D stages have been remastered with upgraded visuals and include bonus content to explore.

As we've already established, the Sonic x Shadows Generations Xbox achievements aren't going to be the easiest to conquer. Many of the Sonic Generations Xbox 360 achievements have returned, tasking you with clearing all stages with an S rank, completing all challenge acts, and finding all of the Red Star Rings and collectibles. Plus, you'll need to beat the final boss without taking any damage for the Can't Touch This achievement.

The Shadow campaign looks similar to Sonic's portion of the list, with achievements for getting an S rank on all stages and finding every collectible. Sega has doubled up the pain for Sonic X Shadow Generations, too, with an Untouchable achievement for Shadow. As you can probably guess, this achievement requires you to defeat Shadow's final boss without taking any damage — how mean!
